Glor-Isol Torrslamfärg does not contain any preservatives. As a consequence the liquid paint is susceptible to fungi. For this reason you should only mix the amount of paint that you can apply in one day. But: Glor-Isol Torrslamfärg (in the powder form) can be stored for many years without loss of quality!
Once Glor-Isol slamfärg is applied the components start to penetrate into the wood. Under the influence of UV (sunlight) the iron sulphate component of the slamfärg (that facilates the pigment to penetrate into the wood) turns the wood grey-ish (this process can take a few months depending on the weather). As a result the look of freshly applied slamfärg (especially a first layer on previously unpainted wood!) will be lighter compared to the color after a few months.
This is common to all slamfärg that contain iron sulphate.
Glor-Isol Torrslamfärg includes a thickening component. While the slamfärg is not applied this can look a bit flakey in the bucket. This has no negative effect on the application (in fact it facilitates to use a brush). Once the slamfärg is applied to the wood the 'flakes' dissolve completely.
For both application types (brush or spray) you use the same Glor-Isol Torrslamfärg. Depending on the application type, you just add a different amount of of water and emulsified linseed oil to mix with the Glor-Isol Torrslamärg. The easiest way to know the amounts to mix is to use our Glor-Isol Quantity Calculator
